Trail Description Mostly wide trails some in the open prairie and some in the woods. The sand on some trails is pretty deep and can tire an out of shape horse. Some nice overlooks of the St. Croix River. We saw bear tracks and deer several times.
Best Time to Visit
Times to Avoid Can get buggy in July and August
Campground Very nice campground. We make reservations if on the weekend because we have our favorites with the most shade. The day ride area is in the middle of the campground and it is fun to watch the day riders. Restrooms are centrally located. Highlines are mostly shaded and raised so if it rains, they don't get too muddy. The sites are mostly flat and level.
